Tell President Kikwete: Don't Abandon The Maasai To Starvation And Destitution!

As we speak, Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete is preparing to sign a deal with a big-game hunting corporation that would force 48,000 members of Africa’s Maasai tribe into homelessness and destitution – but if enough of us speak out, we can stop the deal from taking place.
The last time a corporation tried to push the Maasai out of the Serengeti, the population was devastated. Their homes were destroyed, their livestock starved, and protesters were savagely beaten by police.
By exposing this brutality to the world, we helped return the Maasai to their native land. If we speak out now, we can stop it again -- and if enough of us spread the word, we can end the assault on the Maasai for good. Please, sign our petition to Kikwete urging him to protect his people from homelessness and starvation. Take a stand: Sign now!
PRESIDENT KIKWETE: Be a president for your people, not for rich men looking to hunt big game. We urge you to stop plans to evict the Maasai or make them relocate to appease foreign hunters.
